Our journey to heartbreak

There is a song by Matthew West called my own little world. It talks about how in our own little worlds everything is good and goes on to say, what if there is a bigger picture and a greater purpose. Well there is and this is the beginning of our story.

JJ and I are adopting a little girl from Ethiopia. We are so excited about this child becoming part of our family. It is so easy to get caught up in the comforts of your home and your family and easy to forget about the needs of others. JJ and I have "talked" about doing this for a long time and now is the time. Our prayer has been that God would break our hearts for orphans. Our hearts desire is that we would welcome a child to a family that will love them and care for them in a way that would otherwise never be possible. It is amazing how God has placed us where we are today so that this is possible.

Where are we in the process?

The Application is in and accepted!! Yeah, the first step!
We will begin a home study in the next couple of weeks.
Please pray for us along this journey.

"I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you."
John 14;18
